Pool Rules Mesa View #4 Homeowners Association Pool Rules- Effective April 2010
The pool rules have been adopted by the board of directors to insure the safety, comfort, and mutual enjoyment of all association members. Pool hours are as posted at the pool. Summer pool season follows the traditional school schedule for summer vacation. No monitors are on duty during winter hours. Use of the pool requires compliance with all of the following rules & requires that no person becomes a nuisance to other pool users, to surrounding residences or endangers himself/herself or others while using the pool and common areas.

- All persons shall use the pool at their own risk. There are no lifeguards on duty at any time.
- The pool is for the exclusive use of all homeowners (members in good standing) or their designated tenants (with written authorization on file), and their guests.
- By California state regulation, no person under the age of 14 is permitted within the pool area without adult supervision present. (Adult is defined as 18 years or older).
- Monitors shall be present at times designated by the board of directors. Monitor duties are to validate access, maintain compliance with pool rules, and insure the SAFE use of the facilities.
- All children under two (2) years of age or children who are not toilet trained must wear swim diapers.
- Bicycles, skateboards, roller blades, scooters & other such items are strictly prohibited within pool area.
- Rough play, running, cussing, or loud noise is not permitted in the pool area.
- Jumping or diving from surrounding structures or furniture is not permitted.
- Flotation devices are not permitted in the pool during crowded periods.
- Food and drinks are only permitted in designated areas or as permitted by pool monitors.
- Alcohol, smoking of tobacco products. & glass containers are not permitted in the pool area.
- Pets may not be brought in the pool area (does not apply to service animals).
- Frayed swimwear, non-swim-wear, or revealing swimsuits, are not permitted.
- Individuals with long hair will be asked to wear a bathing cap or hair ties; no barrettes are to be worn in the pool.
- By law, a divider rope must be attached to divide shallow & deep ends at all times (year round). IF children are NOT present, a lap swimmer may temporarily remove rope but must re-attach so rope is in service when children arrive or otherwise when the lap swimmer finishes.
- Insurance liability requires that no non-member group activity such as scuba lessons/practice, swim lessons, or any non-member function be permitted.

Association members assume the responsibility for the safety and conduct of their families and guests while in the pool area or surrounding common areas.
Members will be held liable for property damage resulting from their family members, guests, and/or tenants. Violation of the pool rules may result in loss of pool privileges. The Board may deny access to the pool area for other reasons set forth in the CC&Rs and by-laws. Any member of the association may request others at the pool or common area to comply with these posted rules.
